You plan campaigns. You select target groups. You hope it fits.
Weeks of preparation, months until the result – and only then do you know whether the message landed. All inside-out: you decide what might be relevant.
The future is outside-in: relevance in real time.
The engagement layer watches every interaction of your supporters and decides in that moment what matters to them – not weeks later in the next campaign plan.
Six sentences from first conversations with fundraisers. They don't describe bad fundraising, but an operating model at its limit.
Costs you: the people who don't feel addressed.
Costs you: every approach that rests on a guess.
Costs you: the moment when someone would have been ready.
Costs you: the second gift – and the relationship behind it.
Costs you: weeks in which nobody does fundraising.
Costs you: the board conversation about impact.
Three minutes: from the first click to the gift – and beyond.

Booking donations, receipts, reporting: built for that. Continuous, individual engagement: not.
Stays in the lead. Is not replaced.
Comes in addition. Step by step, component by component.
This is not about questioning your systems – it is about adding the one layer that is missing today between your data and the people.
Four capabilities running in a loop – per interaction instead of per quarter.
An engagement layer is not a fundraising purchase. Every role at the table gains something different.
41 % of email revenue comes from triggered flows – from 5.3 % of sends (Klaviyo)
71 % expect personalised interactions, 76 % are frustrated when they don't get them (McKinsey)
One additional layer instead of a two-year platform migration
An investment decision on evidence instead of on vendor slides
Calculated with your numbers and an assumption you set yourself – not with someone else's benchmarks.
75 donors who stay instead of leaving.
Not a forecast and not a promise. There is no reliable nonprofit benchmark for this effect – across industries, triggered flows earn a multiple of campaigns per recipient (Klaviyo). What it delivers for you is shown by the first journey.

Gartner CMO Spend Survey 2026On the sources: all figures are cross-industry. There are no comparably solid benchmarks for the nonprofit sector, and I don't invent any. What transfers is the mechanism, not the percentage.
No system migration, no two-year project. One journey that counts.

Which data, scores and categories does the journey need? Plus governance and consent.
Result: a target architecture for the executive and the board
The journey runs with real people, measured against your mailing baseline.
Result: proven impact and a roadmap for scaling
Six questions that come up in almost every first conversation.
No. Your CRM or fundraising system remains the system of record – donations, receipts, audit. The engagement layer sits alongside it and reads signals that were never recorded there anyway.
Two items: the yawave licence, which depends on scope and contact volume, and the effort for discovery and the first journey.
90 days to the first journey running live: three weeks of discovery, three weeks for the target picture, six weeks of implementation. The decision basis for the executive or the board is ready after six weeks.
Most of it falls to fundraising or communications: defining the topic structure is editorial work, not an IT task. IT is needed only briefly, to add the tracking and personalisation snippet to the existing website – whatever the CMS. No development project.
yawave is ISO 27001 audited, compliant with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR, and the data sits in Switzerland or the EU. Consent and preferences are part of the model, not an add-on. Supporters manage topics and contact frequency themselves – which is also the cleanest data basis you can get.
The size of the organisation is not the deciding factor. Licence costs follow your volume, and the solution can be introduced step by step, module by module. It is best to clarify your needs in a conversation – after that we can give concrete figures on effort and cost.
